Multidisciplinary artist A. Savage displays a series of new paintings, whose graphic quality strikes from afar and pull the viewer into a destabilized world of familiar settings - the home, the lover's bed, the city, in transit. The truth lies in the platitude of this flattened, yet disturbed world entitled, The Past, Too, Is An Intruder.

Savage has previously shown at Knockdown Center and his work on the cover of Parquet Courts' album "Human Performance" was recently nominated for a Grammy. This 2nd installation of A. Savage's work was originally planned for the 976 Grand Street location of IDIO Gallery, and will now take place across the street, at 963 Grand St., in the newly opened Taiwanese restaurant, A-Pou's taste, formerly a dumpling cart crisscrossing Manhattan with proudly 61-year-old Doris at its helm.

Opening Tuesday, October 24th, from 7-10PM.

Artist in conversation with Jon Campolo on Thursday, October 26th, from 7-9PM.
